President Hinckley

Last night we found out our beloved prophet has passed away.  What mixed emotions we all had.  The kids cried and cried and were so sad.  I'll bet he was very happy to go and see his wife again, as well as the rest of his family.  We will miss his humor and optimism, but are grateful we were able to have him as long as we did.

12th Anniversary

So we have officially been married for twelve years as of 8:20 yesterday morning.  We both think it seems like yesterday, we just can't figure out where these kids came from.  Time flies so fast.  We are still newlyweds in our minds.

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's

The kids had a great time sledding on the hill at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Grandpa made this really incredible hill as a starting block and it is hard to keep them away from it.  The second the girls got home from school on Friday they said they wanted to go visit.  So we met Jake and Grandpa up there and had a great time.  The little snowman was a finale to our day.  The snow was very dry so it was hard to pack.  The eyes, buttons, etc.  were crafted from delicious chocolate chips.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Fantastically Creative Kids

Just a funny story!  Taylor is working on a Macbeth play at school and as such needs to memorize some lines.  I haven't heard much from her and figured she was doing it on her own.  Tonight I went to tuck the kids into bed and Taylor was standing on the bed rehearsing her lines.  Torey was reading the script, checking her lines - and Jake was filling in a director's board (the little black chalkboard with the thing that you click down - I don't know what its called) with each take, scene number, etc.  I was really excited to see them work together to help each other succeed.  I am such a proud mom when I see them help each other.
