After months of patiently waiting, surfing the internet for clips and teasers, and reading and re-reading the books we were finally able to view the long awaited "Twilight." Taylor was so excited she hasn't stopped talking about it for weeks. Torey had to live vicariously through her sister's recitations, as she is too young to read the book. And Jake, poor Jake, was dragged along with the rest of us, whether he wanted to be or not. We were lucky enough to get advanced tickets to opening day, and even though we were on the third row we had a great time.

We were able to go with the cousins, and the aunts, and Grandma! Even I was there, although there is no photographic evidence to prove that I was. And then, much to our delight, our neighbors sat behind us.

Although a movie can never be as good as the book, I think it was pretty good. I thought they injected a lot of humor, and the scenery was beautiful. I do wish, however, that the two leading characters would have shown more emotion in their dialog, as it was the same tone throughout most of the movie. Other than that, the general consensus was a thumbs up. We even discovered that baby Stailey is in love with Edward, as every time he came on screen she would blow bubbles and coo. More than anything we had a great time with an amazing bunch of women, and one little guy! Thanks for the fun ladies (and gentleman).

WHY WAS JAKE SUBJECTED TO THIS? GRANDPA DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH BETTER CHOICE. I MEAN LOOK AT THE POOR SAP. JAKE, I'M SORRY I WAS AT WORK, TRULY TRULY SORRY.
lol. Reed's too funny. Thanks for getting the ticket - Stailey and i had a great time... she has her first crush.
How DID Jake do? There were some moments. I am still mulling things over in my head as to whether it was good enough. I agree, there wasn't much emotion in the dialog. Edward... well, that wasn't him, but it's ok. I guess I will have to agree with your rating, B+, which I'd have to say is above average.
I really thought it was pretty good. Like you, never as good as the book, and I agree with the monotone thing, but they did have chemistry! Unfortunately, we had nothing but giggly girls who literally giggled and every line Edward said, even the serious ones, which took away from the movie.
I wish I could have been there. So bummed. Can't believe our tickets were for the same show. I guell I will have to wait to see it later. It did, however, give Emily the chance to go and she "loved" it! Hasn't stopped talking about it. What an awesome neighbor with the "rock the vote".
I had fun and I was pleasantly surprised with Edward. I had thought he was not to cute, but DAMN in the show, he is so stinkin' sexy. In fact, any of those vampires can bite my neck at anytime. I will be waiting.
I liked it too. That looked like alot of fun with all the girls and Jake. Next time there is a girls day- drop him off with us. My boys would love it.
