Thankful Thursday....
So, today my husband fell through the ceiling of a house during a fire, caught himself on a truss, and managed to drop down into the main floor without any major injury. I am thankful he is alive, it could have so easily gone the other way. His dismount was reported only graceful enough to earn an 8.5 due to a biased Chinese and Russian judging duo. I will bet my next paycheck however, that the Mayor, City Administrator, and Council Women who met with my wrath after the fact were not as thankful that I visited them today. I will let you use your imagination on how that went. (Imagine scared, raging, PMS'ing wife armed with an incompetent, non-compliant Chief and Captain as her verbal dart board, yet directing her focused rage at a fence sitting, derelict (def: shamefully negligent) mayor and a spineless administration.) You may ask - What would have happened if he had been injured? and I will tell you nothing, as their was no accountability system in place and no rapid intervention team. Makes you wonder why? Oh, here's another one. The house was vacant. How does a vacant house start on fire? Well, we'll never know because they didn't call an arson investigator. What a joke. For more information on who to vote for in the next election please give me a call.

I am sorry you had such a scare. That is very frightening. I am glad he is okay.
Sorry you had to go through that! Glad Reed is ok.
Brynna and I saw that fire before the fire department got there. Just happened to be in that area. It looked pretty bad. I was going to ask if Reed went there. I am so glad he is ok. We should talk before the election. I am ready to campaign for and against as well.
hope all is going well, I bet Reed is sore. But it sounds as if mamma bear is taking care of all.
scary! lucky for you Reed is a tough guy. Glad he's okay. Way to go get 'em Nat. I am not a fan of the mayor as well.
There's not a thing wrong with getting out of an attic throught the ceiling. Every firefighter knows you can't get a SCBA and body through the ceiling hatch. I did it years ago but didn't say anything to anyone so I didn't have to suffer the wrath of someone. He knows what he is doing and does it very well. Just give him a hug and don't worry.
Glad he's okay! Every now and then Mama Bear has to come out - good going!
I love your dads comment. But I agree that the city is a joke. Good job for sticking up for him. I just hope I am never on your bad side.
STUPID russian and Chinese judges. Maybe they should run for city council, at least then there would be an excuse for working with your head up your a$$.
I am glad your husband is okay. Your guardian angels must have been working overtime.
Still love to read about your life more than mine.
Your not so silent stalker.
i'm sorry that would be so scary, good job busting some you know whats
Wow- scary stuff. I'm sure Reed being the Hero he is remained calm and collected throughout the whole falling through the ceiling ordeal. I'm glad he is fine. As for the city...let's hope something changes soon.
