Snow Much Fun!

With all of the fantastic snow we have been getting Jake made a great attempt at a snowman in the backyard while Reed was shoveling snow.  Not bad for a little guy.  He even managed to pluck a couple of branches off the maple tree in the back.
When Reed was done shoveling I gave Jake this snowman kit and told him to go see what he could accomplish with it.  After sweet talking Reed into helping him they were able to create "Farmer John" who is quite a dashing snowman if I do say so myself!  Even Copper, the dog, got in on the act.  I think she was more of a hinderance than a help.

On another note, we had parent/teacher conference today and Taylor and Torey are both doing great.  Torey is getting straight A's and Taylor is at the head of her class.  We knew they were brilliant but it is nice to hear others say so.  What made us even more proud, however, is the fact that they are both very compassionate girls and friendly with everyone!!!  We also heard that when Torey is reading a story in class she is a blast to listen to because she acts out the part as opposed to just reading it.  Apparently this is very entertaining for the teacher, Miss Neilsen.
