Busted....

On Tuesday March 18 Reed read our family blog and then asked "Why didn't you just say something."  So obviously I need to be a nag.  Who knew?  So as of 9:38 a.m. our Christmas lights are down. (See picture below).

So I would like to dedicate this post to my husband who as soon as he discovered I had an issue with Christmas lights in March remedied the situation.  What a champ!  The following is a love letter:

To my husband, who I love:
Thank you so much for taking down the Christmas lights.  I love you more than words can say.  You looked so hot on the roof, even though the day was cold.  When I saw you up there my heart sang out in songs of joy and adulation.  You sir, today, have been MY hero.
Love,
Your adoring wife.

09:50 Well the world is spinning again on it's normal axis. WOW! that was close.

It looks like the Christmas lights weren't the only lights that were out.

One way I've found for never having your lights up too late is to never put them up. But the other side of that is people driving past our house at Christmas thinking we are living Scrooges.
While it's true we do live with a Scrooge, I did manage to pick up some lights at a great after Christmas sale and so this year people won't think "Bah, humbug" when they drive past our house. Now if I can only remember to put them up...
