Not to be outdone...

Recently my great friends, Alice and Caroline, who also happen to be sisters, have uploaded pictures of some delectable morsels they have created onto their blogs, and in the spirit of competition I say "Game on."   (It had nothing to do with the fact that every time I viewed their blogs my mouth watered).  In the cutthroat world of housewifery one cannot afford to be lackadaisical in their appointed duties.  Whether it be who can create the best birthday party, who can cook the best dinner, or who can let the laundry stack the highest it is always important to stay on your toes in order to remain competitive.  But I cannot take all of the credit for the bread of which you are a witness.  It would be a fallacy and the worst kind of deceit.  Most of the credit goes to the above pictured Kitchenaid Classic Mixer Model #K45SS. My feelings about this mixer can only be described in a poem.

Ode to My Kitchenaid Classic Mixer Model #K45SS

To my Kitchenaid who (whom?) I love:
You have always been there when I needed you.
Whether it was Thanksgiving rolls for sixty,
Or cookies for a family of five.
You are sometimes the reason,
My family is still alive.
You never let me down,
You are always around,
Like the time Grandpa Simper sent me
home with buckets and buckets of carrots,
and I used the handy slicer attachment,
and it made the job go so much faster.
Or remember when you made that delicious wheat bread?
I love how you put off that smell of burning appliance
when I have been kneading you for too long.
Please Kitchenaid, please, stay strong.

I also need to show appreciation and send a great big THANK YOU to Janet for her recipe.  I first sampled it in sacrament meeting and did not rest until I found the contributor. Also, thanks to the above mentioned Caroline for the "peanut butter" tip.  It worked like magic. My sincerest gratitude.  Thank you.

P.S.  Can anyone tell me why my post is partially double-spaced and partially single?  It is becoming an annoyance.

You may be able to give me a run for my money in breadmaking, but I'm willing to bet no one can pile up the laundry quite like I do:)

I agree with Alice on the pile of laundry. Not hers, mine! But that's funny. One of my other sisters said that my breadmaking was probably just a one time thing. Rude, but probably true. Loved the poetry would like a kitchenaid for myself.

I am way impressed. I need new receipes. You should start a cooking group or something. I have heard of people who do pretty fun ones. I am always looking for good idea's, plus I love food
