Monday Musings.....

Can you believe this nonsense?  I mean the hubby decides to come home for once, and this is the treatment he expects.  Don't get me wrong, I gladly did it.  I was so glad he was home I would have done it for hours just to bask in the sunshine that is his presence.  I love him that much.  I kid, about the fanning, not the love.  Look at the size of those rhubarb leaves. Can you believe it?  And those very rhubarb, rhubi?, turned into rhubarb crisp.  Delicious!  Be honest, do the capris have to go?  I can take it, just lay it on me.

Copper says "hi."  This was right before the neighbor's toy poodle attacked her and she cowered between our legs like the yellow belly she is.  She let out with one big growl on the second attack, but was then embarrassed and looked to us for reassurance.  We told her, just like we tell our own kids, don't back down in a fight, especially when you are five times bigger.  I mean, really.
Just enjoying our late blooming peonies.  They are so beautiful, my very favorite flower.  Love them, love their scent, love the fact they were created for me to enjoy.  Speaking of flowers, if anyone needs a start of a daisy please contact me.  We have an overgrowth on our hands.  If you give it an inch it will take your whole yard.  It is free, in case you were wondering and will spread a smile across your face every time you look at it.  A very happy flower, and great for little girls to pick, or boys - we are an equal opportunity floral provider.
At this point I would like to send this flower to Jammie in the hopes that it will help stop the contracting which is six weeks early.  Let's hope that stops, and stops quick.  Can you imagine contracting for the next six weeks?  Let's not even think it.  Anyway, best of luck to you.

Funny story:

Jake:  Dad, why are those snap dragon flowers your favorite?
Reed:  Those flowers are actually snow in summer.  We had them at my house when I was a boy.
Jake:  When I get my own house and become a man I will plant those at my house.  That is if I can overcome my greatest fear.
Reed:  What's your greatest fear?
Jake:  Well right now it's worms and I can't be a man until I overcome my fear of worms.

Can I just say that Jake is "the man"! He is hilarious. And... if your capris have to go, then tell me mine do too because I have a similar pair. Does it matter that they are a few years old? (mine) Yours still look good. Aahh, rhubarb... we already know what mine looks like. There will be no fanning with that little thing!

I hope Jake becomes a man one day. : ) Tell poor Copper that Cobalt understands. Cobalt is attacked by weiner dogs and cats but she doesn't know what to do either. I wonder if she will figure out that all she has to do is step one fat paw on them and the fight would be over.

I love peonies too. They are so pretty. I might need to come and get a start of your daisys. I have some of Grandmas from last year, but I would love more.

I love Jake. He is so cute.

I had to just plant one flower and it's still alive and it's in a huge pot meant for many but I killed all of them last year and i thought I would feel better if i only killed one, but it's still alive maybe the responsibility of many was too great. your flowers are great
good job making your husband feel like a king!!!

Mike insists I not wear capris. That hasn't stopped me from owning a few pairs. Wear them with pride!

Are you still offering daisy starts? I know I'm a little late on the reply. What color are they, white? I'm trying (that is the major key word) to work on my front yard (oh, and the back) and since I am now removing weeds I probably should replace them with something aesthetically pleasing. I've never had peonies, but would love a yard that smelled good (not like the neighborhood's cats litterbox!!).
