Spring Break '08 - Part 4 (Angel's Baseball Game)

Here we are at our first Major League Baseball Game.  It was the Angel's versus the Royal's.  And let me just say that we had a fantastic time.  For those of you who know Reed, you know that he loves baseball with every fiber of his being.  When we were dating he began to plant the seed of baseball love in me and has been nurturing it along to the point where I almost love it like he does.  Almost.  Anyway, after watching Reed play as a teenager, then as an adult, and sitting through the "Nine Innings of Baseball" by Ken Burns, and watching Taylor play for many years, and watching the World Series from a hospital bed, I am well enough versed on the rules of the game to the point that I at least know what it going on, although I think the "ground rule double" is ridiculous as far as rules go, but that is only one girls opinion.  So, back to my original point.  Major League Baseball is a blast to watch.

Here is Reed with the girls.  We all got fleece blankets as a fan appreciation gift, so they snuggled up and enjoyed the game.  We were also delighted to find out that they do indeed sell peanuts and Cracker Jacks and that it is not just a fun song.  We also enjoyed a Ball Park Frank in the ball park.

Poor little Jake was tuckered out from extreme vacationing and slept from about the fourth or fifth inning, though I don't know how he did because the fans were very loud.  It kind of reminded me of the time I fell asleep at the Bon Jovi concert my mom took us to when I was in fifth grade.  Anyway, that is the fun we had at the game.  Angel's lost by two.
