Spring Break '08 - Part 7 (aka "The Day Jake pulled up lame")

About the second to last day Jake's body decided enough fun had been had and his ankle gave out.  He could barely walk on it.  He would hobble around like the Hunchback of Notre Dame at about one half of a snails pace.  Apparently you can have too much of a good thing.  Reed, being the champ that he is, took the girls on the ride's that Jake was too short to go on, while I took Jake and slowly found our way down California Adventure's main street.  While looking for Woody we ran across the Animator's show.  Jake was chosen out of the audience to sing a part with the animator.  He sang "You ain't never had a friend like me" from Aladdin.  It was adorable if I do say so myself.
After he got done singing who came out of the door?  That's right, it was the very man we had been looking for.  Here he is:
Speaking of Jake I have to tell you what he said after the Indiana Jones ride.  The third time was a charm as he was too short the first two attempts.  Must have grown a quarter of an inch or it was the pamphlet we folded up and stuck in his shoes.  Anyway, this is how it went:

Jake:  Man, that Indiana Jones must be busy.  I mean working full time making movies and working all day in the ride.  Wow he is a hard worker.

Also the day at the beach:
Jake:  Man, picking up shells is hard work.
Mom:  Yeah, I know.
Jake:  How do you know.  I've been the one doing it all day?
Mom:  (speechless)
And so the final picture of our journey to California says it all.  Reed still had enough energy to pack two kids, and the kids had given up.  We can't wait until the next vacation, just as soon as we decide where to go we are going.  Might be a few years though!

What fun! I am jealous! My kids if they read this would be extremely jealous. They really, really, want to go to disneyland. I hear that at least once a week! I've never been so we hope to also go when Max gets a little older.
