Since this is our family's 100th post of 2008 we would like to share with you 100 things about our family. Some of you may choose to avoid this post altogether because 100 things is a lot of things. It really is. I don't even know if we can come up with 100 things, but we are going to give it a try. So, if you choose to stay - Welcome. If not, have a great day!
Spiritual
1. We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
2. We know that Heavenly Father lives and loves each of us, and he loves you too.
3. We know Jesus Christ is the literal son of Heavenly Father, that he will come again, and that his atonement was for each and every one of us.
4. We know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth and was the first Prophet in the Latter-days.
5. We know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, a record of the ancient inhabitants of America, and a witness of Christ's visit to the America's after his crucifixion.
6. We know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet and the only person on the earth who holds all of the priesthood keys.
Historical
7. Reed and I met while camping.
8. Reed graduated from the class of '92. I graduated in '94.
9. We dated for one year, then Reed left on a mission for our church, and then we dated for two more weeks, got engaged, and were married four months later.
10. Reed served his mission in Bristol, England.
11. I wrote to him faithfully - except for a little lull near the end. I'm just trying to be honest.
12. We were married in the Salt Lake City Temple, quite possibly the most beautiful place on earth.
13. We honeymooned in our duplex in Pleasant Grove, after spending one night in Salt Lake.
14. We have three of the most amazing kids on the whole face of the earth. Truly, they are.
Family
Taylor
15. Taylor loves baseball more than life.
16. She spent the first two weeks of summer vacation laying in bed and reading Harry Potter. We are glad she is back.
17. Taylor recently had five teeth pulled out of her head, and is still bitter about it.
18. When she was little she would dress up like the characters in the Disney movies and make-out with a plastic horse during the kissing scenes. A favorite memory!
19. Taylor had a pair of Winnie the Pooh moon boots and every time she wore them the velcro would catch on the carpet and she would fall down the stairs. She got quite good at falling down stairs.
20. Taylor will be in sixth grade this year.
21. Taylor is fearless when it comes to amusement park rides. The wilder the better.
22. Taylor wants to marry Derek Jeter. She crushes on boys based on athletic ability. Brains don't even factor into the equation.
23. Taylor once told us she was going to have sixteen kids and play professional sports so she had better get a nanny. I can't wait for that many grandkids, I hope her nanny is good.
24. Taylor loves recess and P.E.
25. Taylor has the best curly hair ever. If I asked it to dance for me it would. Sadly, she doesn't let me do anything with it.
Torey
26. Torey walked at nine months, talked at 12 months, and did everything really early. It was kind of hard to keep up with her. Since she was very small she has had a huge vocabulary. She could converse like an adult from about 18 months, and it was funny to watch people react to her conversations.
27. Torey is soooooo funny.
28. Torey is the motherly one in the family. She loves babies and children and takes care of them really well.
29. Torey loves to sing and dance. We love to listen and watch her.
30. Torey loves the Phantom of the Opera but does not get to watch it very often because her brother and sister are mean about it.
31. Torey loves to shop, which is good for her because her birthday is coming up soon.
32. Torey has more shoes than anyone in the family.
33. When she was little she was always into things. I had to call poison control several times. She was very adventurous.
34. Torey loves arts and crafts.
35. Torey wants to be a model or a fashion designer when she grows up. She definitely does not want to work at the sewer plant. That's what she told her dad the other day.
36. Torey's nickname used to be "Torbug" but when Jake started to talk he renamed her "Bus."
Jake
37. Jake loves chocolate chips, and brownies, and fudge, and chocolate cake, and cookies.
38. Jake loves Momma. That's what he just said. I don't make this stuff up.
39. Jake's miraculously long eyelashes help him to see underwater. He can float without a life jacket. He looks like a dead fish. That's what he says, I didn't believe it either!
40. Jake loves to play Indiana Jones, Power Rangers, Transformers, or Star Wars.
41. Jake has quite the variety of light sabers. He is a light saber glutton.
42. Jake has a bear named Koda, a dinosaur named Dino, and a monkey named "Carious" George!
43. Jake can't wait to start first grade.
44. Jake loves chocolate milk.
45. Jake gets to spend Friday's with Grandpa.
46. Jake loves school. His favorite part is doing centers.
47. Jake is currently suffering from "the RSV" aka the "black lung" - it couldn't possibly be a cough due to bad air quality.
Nat
48. I love to read. I am currently loving Jane Austen and the Twilight series. Do you think I am trying to supplement my life with some romance? I don't think so either.
49. I haven't embraced housework like a dutiful homemaker should. My house stays clean for the most part, I just don't really enjoy the work. I know, I can't believe it either.
50. I think heaven should be paved in Peppermint Patties, or Junior Mints, or York's, or whatever else they can find that is minty.
52. I love the United States Postal Service. I've loved it ever since I was a kid. Getting mail is like receiving a present at your house every day. I love the surprise of seeing what the magical box has to offer. When Reed was on his mission it only fed the addiction because I was getting A LOT of mail. Getting mail is the best.
53. I promised myself I was never going to marry a cop, so I did one better and married a firefighter. Jokes on me, I guess.
54. I love shooting handguns, rifles - not so much, shotguns - hardly at all.
55. I don't sleep on Christmas Eve. I am a little bit like a freak that way.
56. I am also a snooper. It's a gift, and I take full advantage of my talents. Surprises give me a headache.
57. The fourth of July is my favorite holiday, as noted from previous posts.
58. I have never cooked a turkey. Shocking.
59. When I was in fifth grade I slept through a Bon Jovi concert.
60. I have recently become a little obsessive/compulsive with hand washing. I am constantly washing my hands. I think it started when Reed wrote a paper on pandemics, but man, the point was driven home. So, I wash my hands - obsessively and compulsively, and a lot.
61. I want to go back to school more than anything else in the world. If you were to offer me the choice between a million dollars and school, and I couldn't use the money to pay for school, I would pick school.
62. I am scared of the dark.
63. I love to take a dare (within reason, oh, and moral and ethical bounds).
64. Q-tips are perhaps the worlds best invention, and something people take for granted.
65. I am an independent middle child. I know this comes as quite a surprise to many of you.
66. I have a mind for useless information. I retain some of the weirdest facts imaginable.
67. My biggest pet peeve is being late. This is not Reed's pet peeve, however, so we've been late a FEW times.
68. This is weird, but I love the smell of manure in the air in the springtime.
69. I have the upper body strength of a T-Rex, which roughly translated means none.
70. I have been known to eat a whole pan of Rice Krispie Treats. Don't judge me.
71. I have absolutely no musical talent - I regret this.
72. Sometimes it's more fun to watch than to do.
73. Reed bought me my first baseball mitt last year.
Reed
74. Reed likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
75. If we were rich he would get a haircut twice a week.
76. Baseball is his favorite sport.
77. When Reed goes out to eat he orders mac and cheese.
78. Reed has some serious OCD.
79. Reed has an entire list of pet peeves and I have violated every one multiple times.
80. Reed is currently avoiding his math homework like it is the plague.
81. Milky Ways are his favorite candy bar. Twix and Watchamacallit's are his next favorite.
82. Reed treated Natilie to a breakfast of Watchamacallit's and O.J. on their wedding day.
83. Reed has naturally curly hair and was able to grow the most beautiful mullet because of it.
84. Reed's first car was a 1980 Honda Accord, mint green. Later he added a brown door. It was affectionately dubbed the "hell mutt."
85. When Reed was little he was sure that he would be President of the United States. He also thought that same thing yesterday.
86. Up until the ninth grade he thought he would be a pro baseball player, and then again until he was twenty. Coming to grips with reality has been tough for him.
87. We moved to American Fork for the express purpose of getting on the Fire Department.
88. We almost didn't buy our building lot because we were going to be in the Beehive League in baseball.
89. Reed despises chest hair and back hair, so I try to shave every day!
90. Reed is very picky about the type of soap he uses. He loves Irish Spring or Lever 2000.
91. He is very sensitive to smells.
92. Reed writes right handed, bats consistently right, more powerful bat left, shoots left, throws left, fine motor skills right.
93. Reed would rather watch a movie than read a book.
94. Reed's mom was surprised when he married me because he always said he was going to marry a tall, dark haired, tan girl with a big chest. Don't I fit this profile perfectly?
95. In Reed's mind second place is the first loser.
96. Reed has a tendency to dive right into the middle of things - trenches, ditches, fires, chaos, etc.
97. Reed quizzes his family on fire hydrant brands.
98. Reed loves his wife, and she loves him more. We try to tolerate each other the best we can.
99. Reed and Nat are polar opposites in just about everything imaginable but it works for us, somehow, miraculously.
100. We would rather just hang out and talk to each other than anything else.
Woah, that was harder than I thought it would be. We hope you enjoyed that little peek into our lives. Have a great day!

whats wrong with cops
That was totally awesome! I love posts like this, and you never disappoint!
Wow, now thats impressive. I am also glad you shave your back and chest hair daily. Ha,ha.
Okay that was funny. I totally remember the horse, the boots and the falling down the stairs. You forgot the time Taylor fell down the stairs and actually landed in the stroller she was pushing. Aaah the "hell-mutt" and the mullet, those were the days. I agree with dad, what is wrong with cops? I married one.
Nothing is wrong with cops - except the weird schedule and always being on call, blah, blah, blah. Like I said, Jokes on ME!
This is a great reference if I ever need to know something about your family. ;)I am sure Rob would have found it useful when he was your hometeacher! I wonder if Reed has as many pet peeves as me.
I loved reading your post. Your kids are so cute. Tell Taylor- I love Derek Jeter too.
I hung in there to the end. Those are 100 amazing facts! So fun to read. I agree about the junior mints/York Peppermint Pattie, etc. Love those... also agree about Lever 2000 soap.
